INTERVENTION
PROGRAM COMPENSATION
PLAN
(Revised
Edition No. 2)
·
Certified
Teachers, District Substitutes, and
adults with teaching certification will be paid $ 25.50 per hour and
provided one half hour (1/2) of paid preparation time for every three (3) hours
of instructional time. Additionally, $17.61 will be paid for non-instructional
time (such workshop or training seminar).

Paraprofessionals
will be paid their regular hourly pay rate.
·
All
other non-district employees without teaching certification will be paid $6.50
per hour.
·
Certified
staff and adults must assume primary roles of instruction. Paraprofessionals
and non-certified adults may not assume direct instructional duties.

All
District 41 Certified staff must provide one half (1/2) hour of instructional
time at the end of the regular school day. This 1/2 hour may be provided at the
beginning or end of the intervention program day. The following options should
be considered to address this expectation:
OPTIONS
1. If the
intervention program begins immediately after school, the 1/2 hour must be made
up at the end of the
each days' intervention program activity.
2. If the
intervention program begins immediately after school, the teacher would forfit
compensation for the first 1/2
hour of instruction and receive compensation for the
second 1/2 hour of the program.
3. If the
intervention program begins one half (1/2) hour after the end of the regular
school day, the teacher would be
excused immediately at the end of each days'
intervention program activity.

Principal,
use the following prioritized list when selecting staff for your interevention
programs:
1. Certified District Employees assigned to your building
(teachers and paraprofessionals).
2. Certified District Employees assigned to other buildings
in the district (teachers and paraprofessionals).
2. Certified District Substitutes.
3. Adults with teaching certification
4. Others in non-instructional positions
