Parent Teacher Conferences

Please collect data on the number of parents in attendance for p/t conferences. Please send the following information to me when possible:
1. Total # of students
2. Total # of students who were represented by parents/guardians
3. Total percentage of students with parent representation in attendance at conferences
4. Describe the plan of action that addresses those parents who did not attend p/t conferences

Sex Education Training on October 25th- Send Me Names Please!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Thursday, October 25th from 8:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. there will be a training session for staff who are new to the district's sex education program in grades 2 and 5. This will be the only training session offered this year for this topic. If you have any staff member who needs the training or who would like a refresher or review, please send me the staff member's name and grade level by Friday, October 5th. Training will be held on the second floor of the administrative building (in room 23). The district will pick up the substitute costs if necessary. Thanks.

-Title II ROE workshops. Remember, each school is allowed one participant per workshop with registration fees paid through the districts Title II funds. Feel free to list a second participant as an alternate. In the past, some schools have chosen not to participate thus leaving vacant slots that could be filled with the alternates. If your staff choose not to participate, please return the forms with that information. Please send by October 5th.
-Professional Development State Block Grant report (that was distributed during principal meetings)
-Professional Development survey from your building (that was distributed during principal meetings)

Intersession/Intervention Planning Committee - 10-25-01 at 2:00 PM

This group's first meeting will be held on October 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the administration center (scheduled before the all administrative team meeting at 3:45 p.m.) This group will plan academic opportunities for students for the year. A strategic plan will be formulated with input from the committee addressing the following: 1.) which students are eligible to participate in programs? What is the criteria for participation? 2.) What will be the goals/objectives of the activities and programs offered to students? 3.) When and where will the activities take place? 4.) What will be the format of the activities? 5.) Who will staff and supervise the activities? and 6.) How will the impact of the activities be measured and evaluated? Currently on the committee are: Jay Marino, Sue Reading, Bruce Bufe, Jan Taylor, Kay Ingham, Rick Loy and Scott McKissick. We welcome anyone else who would like to be part of this planning committee. Please join us if you are able.
