21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Information-Last
Call

As you
already know, Edison JHS and Earl Hanson are recipients of the 21st Century
grant. Those schools are excellent
models of utilizing grant funds to enrich the educational experiences of our
students and families. If any other
building is interested in pursuing this grant, please contact me. There will be a meeting during the second or
third week of January and you need to be represented if you are at all
interested. Please contact me ASAP so
that your name can be added to the list of interested participants.

ITBS Testing
===================================
Thanks
for your help in getting ITBS testing conducted, completed and sent in to our
office. The materials have been sent
for scoring and processing. As soon as
results are available, we will share the information.

Academic Intervention
===================================
Each
building will soon have an opportunity to write a brief proposal on how
academic intervention funds would be used in the building. A draft "proposal document" has
been created by the committee and can be viewed online as a word document at http://curriculum.risd41.org/admin/intersession/Application.doc You can also view the draft funding

principal's meetings and a special meeting will be called after the holidays to

Koalaty Kid Training Update

In the
Spring, additional Koalaty Kid training will be available for school building
leadership teams. Please begin thinking
about the possibility of your team participating. Earl Hanson has now completed 4 out of the 6 day's of training
and they are off to a great start. If
you think you building team might be interested in training this Spring, please
contact me. We will need to figure out
how to get 6 days of training in and we might have to get creative as funds are
tight.

for Monday, February 25th, 2002.
