Standards" Workshop

Munger (National Staff Development Council board member and consultant) will be
with us to share strategies on how to effectively plan staff development
activities. Special attention will be
focused on integrating staff development activities into the School Improvement

SIP Template Updated!

An
updated SIP template is now available online.
I have made revisions according to the received feedback from
principals. As you begin creating next
year's School Improvement Plan, please begin using the new template. If there are sections that you are not
comfortable with, feel free to contact me and/or make some adjustments that
meet your needs for this year. In
summary, our goal is to have everyone begin using the template for next year
while allowances and flexibility will be made in certain sections where more
information is needed. Updated SIP is
available at

. By the beginning of the 2003-2004
school year, all schools will need to use the complete SIP template.

2001-2002 ITBS Scores Are Now In Discovery!
===================================
The
technology department has put all 2001-2002 ITBS test data into the Discovery
database- thanks Janet! We are also in
the process of designing report templates that will be available to all schools
soon to access the data. Over the next
month, we will be adding the last 3 years of ISAT and ITBS test data into the
system that that detailed data analysis can easily occur. By the end of next week, the curriculum
office will make available the annual ITBS report to the Board of
Education. This year's report will
include cohort trend data, reports by ethnicity and individualized school trend
data.
