===================================
Parent-Teacher Conference Parameters
===================================
As
discussed in yesterday's principal meeting, we need to adhere to the following
parameters for P/T conferences:
·
13
hours over the two days (October 3rd & 4th) are required
·
Need
to have some evening hours
·
5
hours minimum each day
===================================
Science Materials (Over/Under) Information Needed By 8-28-02
===================================
We have
put together some data to assist us in the process of making sure all teachers
and students have the needed materials.
·
First,
we are basing our knowledge on data from the 10 day student enrollment figures…
available at http://curriculum.risd41.org/committee/science/materials/Enrollment8.19.02.xls
. This shows us how many students and
teachers at each grade level, in each school.
·
Then,
we used data that shows exactly what was sent from the warehouse to each
school. This data is available at
http://curriculum.risd41.org/committee/science/Numbers.xls .
·
Then,
we compared enrollment data with the information about materials sent to each
building to come up with what should materials are still needed or our extra at
each school. To view student text data
(over/under numbers) go to
http://curriculum.risd41.org/committee/science/materials/stu_txt_ovr_undr.htm
. To view the teacher materials (over/under
numbers) go to
http://curriculum.risd41.org/committee/science/materials/tchr_txt_ovr_undr.htm
.
At this
point, the data suggest that some buildings have "more" materials
than are needed and other buildings have "less" materials than are
needed. Therefore, our office is
asking each school to do the following by next Wednesday (8-28-02):
1.) Review the data presented above
2.) Verify the accuracy of the data
3.) Communicate via email any inaccurate data to
Jay Marino
4.) Be prepared to "send back"
materials that are extra or "receive" additional materials that are
needed- DO NOT SEND BACK ANY MATERIALS UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO!
5.) After next Wednesday (8-28-02) further
instructions will be given on how materials will be transferred to or from your
building.
