Science Updates… (This Information Was Sent Under Different Cover
Previously)
===================================
As the
end of the year quickly approaches, I would like to share some updates
regarding the science curriculum alignment process…
K-6
SCIENCE MATERIALS INVENTORY INFORMATION NEEDED ASAP
In order
to stretch our limited science material monies, the science committee has
suggested that an inventory be conducted before the end of the year to identify
what science materials we may already have in our schools. Therefore, attached is a brief inventory list
(28 items) of the more expensive science materials found in schools. If you served on the district science
committee this year, you are asked to print out the attached inventory list and
find out what materials you already have in your building. If there was more than one person from your
school, please coordinate the effort. Many thanks to Linda Taylor for putting
together this list. If you have
questions, please contact Linda directly at Horace Mann. Please send this inventory to me before
leaving on summer vacation. Your help is
greatly appreciated!

K-6 ALL FOSS KITS AND MCMILLAN/MCGRAW-HILL MATERIALS NEED TO BE
RETURNED TO THE WAREHOUSE BY TUESDAY, 6-4-02
===================================
If there
are any FOSS kits or McMillan/McGraw-Hill materials still in your building,
they need to be boxed up and sent to Lana in the District warehouse before you
leave tomorrow. If you are a member of the smaller
subcommittee that is working on the alignment document, you may keep the
materials until later this month. If you
have any science materials you are holding, send me an email with the title and
grade level of the materials you are keeping.
(Science subcommittee members only--- if you received FOSS manuals
from Teri Stickler, you may keep the manuals until further notice. Teri will ultimately be collecting these from
you at a later date.)
